1. Increase Your Character Selection in Your Deck

The more characters you have available to play with, the better your chances are of reaching the end of any Event and winning those big, juicy, high level characters.

2. Complete The Story Mode to Win as Many Cards as You Can

Story Mode contains a number of fixed rewards. These include 1-star, 2-star and 3-star characters, ICE, Gold, health packs and card packs – all of which will prove invaluable when playing the events.

3. Plan Every Event!

The more Events you play, the more prizes you can win. Each Event has a different amount of Gold available to win, depending on the length of time given to complete it. Gold means you can buy more slots to place new characters into your deck.

4. Plan Your Sessions in Order to Maximize Your Game Progression

Health Packs regenerate over time. If you’re all out, they will all return after 2 hours, each one regenerating after 20 minutes. With this in mind, you can plan when to play to get the most out of each session. The more health you have available, the longer you can play!

5. Open Up All The Assist & Booster Slots

You might think you can get by without using these, and to an extent you can, but when you have 3 Assists by your side and 3 Boosters available to you, then your chances of winning each battle are significantly increased.

6. Tactics, Tactics, Tactics!

Know your characters’ strengths and weaknesses. Characters that can switch enemy Special Tiles to basic ones or even friendly ones are very handy against enemy characters like the Boogieman, who has a passive power that puts down Confusion Tiles all over the board. Characters that have powers which deliver huge damage are excellent against tanks – characters that have high health. With the right tactics, you should be able to win most battles against enemies of similar level.

7. Know Your Special Tiles

There are 9 in the game: Confusion, Evade, Shield, Heal & Steal, Trap, Poison, Strength and Attack. Each one can be a game winner in the right hands. Heal & Steal, Trap and Poison tiles are all timer based, meaning they will clear themselves off the board after a number of turns unless you destroy them first. Evade, Shield, Strength and Attack tiles are permanent and can only be removed by matching them.

8. Trap & Paralyze!

Though the Trap power can be beaten by matching the tile it’s on or using a character who can switch enemy tiles to friendly ones, the Paralyze power cannot be undone. This is one of the few powers that happens to the victim directly. With that in mind, when you’re playing against a character who has this power, be sure to stop them from collecting the tiles they need to paralyze you. It’s a good idea to see that character off before any others because if they paralyze your entire team, you’ve got to sit there and watch as they destroy your powerless heroes.

9. Decide Which Power is The Best For Your Character

Powers can be leveled up to level 6, but with each character having 3 powers and the cap for all power levels being set at 13, you can only level up 2 to 6. It’s a serious juggling act setting up a character, let alone a team, for them to be at their best, and this is only the first port of call.

10. Create Teams Based on Their Abilities

It might sound obvious now you’re reading it, but you can easily fall into the trap of thinking that the characters with the highest star ratings and levels will be your best characters. Alone, this may be, but as part of a team, you’ve got to think further than stars and level. A balanced team will have 3 characters that have powers attributed to them for all the color tiles on the board. After you’ve considered that, look at what their powers are. Do you have a passive shield placer? Do you have a character that can hit the enemy with high damage? Do you have a character in your team that can trap the enemy? All this is very important when it comes to wining a battle. Study the team you’re about to fight against in the Team Selection screens. You can tap on any enemy’s panel to see what powers they have, and then plan your own defense accordingly.
