Prey Glitches, Secrets, Easter Eggs and Achievements for PC, Xbox One, PS4
Prey is one of the highest critically acclaimed action FPS ever made that features some truly fun weapon design, combat, powers, a great storyline and so much more. Prey also features many different types of weapons that can be customised which will result in a greater chance of you being able to get towards your achievements. Prey features a decent set of Easter Eggs and secrets and such too.
In Prey, the player controls Morgan Yu while exploring the space station Talos I, in orbit around Earth–Moon L2, where research into a hostile alien collective called the Typhon is performed. As the Typhon escape confinement, the player uses a variety of weapons and abilities derived from the Typhon to avoid being killed by the aliens while looking to escape the station. The player gains access to areas of the station through a Metroidvania style of progression by acquiring key items and abilities, eventually allowing the player to fully explore the station in an open world setting.
In this post we wanted to show off all the unlockables, easter eggs, glitches, secrets AND achievements within the Prey game. There’s a lot of little fun achievements to get, some are amusing, in nature with the game; and some are a little more serious and require some serious grinding. Either way, check out the great list below for some goals to set yourself.
GLITCHES
Unlimited Materials
If you’re missing materials to fabricate extra weapons, ammo, and medkits – there is a way to recycle materials into even more materials.
To do this, interact with any Recycler and transfer a single material stack to the recycler. Now switch inventories so you are managing the Recycler inventory, and split a 1.00 stack into 48 stacks the size of 0.01. Now press start to do a quicksave then press start again and do a quickload so the recycler will recognize it as 48 always only after quickloading.
Use Physics Instead of the Leverage Skill
It might be tempting to spend your Neuromods on the Leverage Skill to be able to pick up heavy objects – especially when there are lots of barricades hiding good loot.
However, you can break down almost any barricade with the simple (and glitchy) application of physics. Find a large objects you can carry (chairs work nicely) and while carrying it, try and wedge it into the side of a barricade. When picked up, the item become transparent, but still has a bit of weight to it when pushed against heavy objects. If you can place it in a way that causes it to clip through the environment, it will try to right itself by expanding and pushing other objects aside – even if they normally require Leverage to move.
It may take a bit of trial an error, but as long as you are persistent you should be able to open up enough holes to slip through almost any barricade of heavy objects, and save your Neuromods for other skills.
EASTER EGGS
Secret ending
In Prey once you complete the game you find out something rather surprising that changes all of the preceeding several hours and especially one secret ending.
