1. Pick Up Your Furry Buddies While You’re Skiing

When on a snowmobile, or anything that can carry other animals, pick up as many animals as you can fit on it. They act like shields enabling you to keep riding for longer than you normally would be able to. Remember – you can always pick up more furry friends! No animals were harmed in the making of Ski Safari 2, honest.

2. The Safest Way to Land

When you are going to be in the air for a while (say after an eagle drops you) make sure that you are not just dropping like a rock by tapping the screen intermittently and trying to level off your descent so you don’t plummet into the ground like the buttered side of toast!

3. And The Safest AND Smoothest Way to Land

If tip 2 still fails to help, while skiing simply swipe upwards to perform “Spread Eagle” to slow your fall and increase your chances of landing safely! Take that, snowboarders. [Editor’s note: boarders rule! Skiers drool!]

4. Boosting Turns You Into a Battering Ram

If you’re boosting (have a trail showing behind you), you can safely smash through rocks without crashing – so you don’t always have to jump rocks! Works with pretty much anything that would normally harm you (except the ground).

5. Hit Some Tricks to Bypass Cables and Animals

If you don’t want to slide along a cable you can perform swipe tricks to pass right through. This also works if there’s an animal coming up that you don’t want to ride on – simply swipe and bypass that animal!

6. Keep Your Finger Pressed on The Screen and Swipe Simultaneously

Try keeping your finger pressed when performing swipe tricks. You can do backflips and pull some smooth moves at the same time for more points!

7. Here’s How to Locate The Wooly Mammoths on Penguin Peaks

Wondering where you can find the elusive Woolly Mammoths on Penguin Peaks? Take note of the signs with exclamation marks as they let you know an ice covered entrance to a cave is near – if you time your jump you’ll break through and should find an unstoppable frozen mammoth inside. They might be a bit grumpy after the wake up call, so they won’t tolerate you for long!

8. Learn What Items Benefit Your Playstyle The Most

Different items in the shop have different strengths/abilities. You can find these out by clicking the “?” button to the right of the item. Take your time to familiarize yourself with them so you can choose the right tool for the job. Lava too hot to handle? Try a Lava Board! Feel like you’re not getting enough air? Try a Big Air Board!

9. Get Social!

Signing into a social network has the benefits of your name appearing on the global leaderboard, you and your friends have your own leaderboards to compete for the best score, your save game is backed up, and you are able to share progress across devices.

10. Participate in Versus Mode; Try to Land This Developer Made Challenge!

If you’re arguing about who is the best of your friends at Ski Safari 2 (spoiler alert – it’s you!), it’s time to put away the theorizing and get down to brass tacks. Play against your friends in Versus mode and compete for bragging rights!

Up for an unofficial devious challenge? Catch a penguin with a running yeti while swiping right to perform the “Slam Dunk” trick. This one requires almost military precision with timing (or a whole lotta luck – but don’t tell your friends that!). Remember to take a happy snap!
